we had company

yesterday. yep sweet pea and her mama were here. she is getting more sure /steady on her feet and was in constant pursuit of cully. laughing and running all the time....

well,most of the time.she discovered herself in the glass of the fireplace doors a few times and was intrigued by that for just a bit.i think she could see me in the glass taking her picture too.
yep no doubt about it she is a sweet pea. love this baby girl!!

easter decorations

are out but,it feels more like winter today than spring!! crazy weather,yesterday it was 68 and rainy and today the sun is out and it's 39!! oh well i put out the springy/easter decorations anyway! i got this little teapot last year at the place i used to work at for little or nothing. it was a good buy! :) my large jar that i got at t.j.maxx and the easter wreath i got when renae and kristin were here.

the birthday girl

opening her present from us on friday. she really liked the tags! ;)

as you can see she just loved the jean shorts! lol! really it was again just the tag.
hard to believe she is one already. i can only seem to catch her for a moment being still enough for a quick picture. i'll take what i can get i guess even if they aren't the best quality photos.

after she got over the initial questioning,what is this? she kind of dug right in but, still wasn't to sure.it was a nice birthday party. kaylie had a fun day,lots of attention,got to eat sweets and lots of presents. what more could a one year old ask for right? :)

today is a very special

day,it's my sweet pea's first birthday and the first day of spring!!! yeah! today is the birthday party,i just can't get over how fast her first year went!! here she is with the remote in hand! okay,i'm babbling so i will just sign off. birthday party pictures to follow!

it never ceases to amaze

me how fast time can go! and my little sweet pea just proves that. the quality of these photos are not the best cause this little girl is constantly on the move,walking all over.

her mama had her dresses so cute,in a new dress and new jelly shoes. she didn't leave the shoes on too long as you can see....

she was so much fun today! it was a nice visit and went way too fast because before i knew it,it was time for them to go home.nice thing is we get to see her again on friday for her birthday party!

went shopping on saturday

in search of birthday gifts for our sweet pea. i saw this cute little top and denim shorts and just had to get them for her. and this 3 piece swimsuit set for summer. can't wait to see her in her swimming pool having fun. she loves to take a bath so i hope it's the same for her in her pool.

cully with the morning sunshine on his face. he just had a bath and looks so nice. that won't last too long tho the way he loves to tear around outside.

oh and i also got this glass jar with the eggs already in it on saturday. i love t.j.maxx!! i can always find some little treasure that i "need"!!

and last but, not least my sweetie-pie and her mama are coming for a visit today! j sent me this photo last night! awwww,be still my heart......love this baby girl.

why is it that i always love to

change things up a bit in the house but,some things i like to stay the same? i have had these to pictures on my mantel for a long,long time and i still like them there.....the frame on the left is different but, still the same photo of my dad sitting in a tree a the " swimming spot" on his 16th birthday.the other is of my mom and her classmates sitting on the merry-go-round at the elementary school in our home town. both are great pictures i guess that's why. cully was outside awhile ago barking like crazy so i went out to see what the problem was thinking it would be a bird or a squirrel making him bark like that but, no when i opened the door he was standing looking up at the icicles barking his head off! lol! goofy dog!

this is our new paint color for the family room and the new curtains. i have to admit i'm a bit sick of the red walls after twelve years so time for a change. i didn't want to put up curtains cause we have blinds in there already but, we still get such a glare on the tv screen so, hopefully these will help a bit. man are they ever wrinkled! so you know what that means,lots or ironing! blech!!!!!!

our little sweet pea will be celebrating her first birthday next week and i got this jacket for her as part of her gift. love the colors of it. she will look so cute in it.

modeling his new coat and the excitement of having company! what a hoot. i put the coat on cully and told him to go show ruthie&j and he ran into the dinning room and went around the table like he actually understood what i said!! i know he would also "love" to model his new coat for his uncle bob and "cousin katie" that live in sioux falls.... ;) our birthday boy and sweet ruthie.....

cully all askew

as he did not feel good,again,yesterday! poor little guy,his stomach was all upset and making weird noises! he's much better today. isn't this the cutest cupcake? stephanie made this for me. i'm on a mission today to find an easel to set it on. i plan on setting it on the kitchen counter.

we are going to paint our family room very soon and when that is done i plan on re-doing the bookcases and i want to use this old clock that we got from my fil years ago. he was tearing down a building in our home town and he found it in the top floor of the building before they began demolition. it's a seth thomas and i love it but, it is soo heavy in the case i think i might just take the face out and store the box. what do you think? any ideas for me?

were here yesterday afternoon. it was fun as always. so glad to have met these girls. it's inspiring to be around so much talent.
of course cully had to get in the mix and was happy to have jessica hold him on her lap for a bit!
