why is it that i always love to

change things up a bit in the house but,some things i like to stay the same? i have had these to pictures on my mantel for a long,long time and i still like them there.....the frame on the left is different but, still the same photo of my dad sitting in a tree a the " swimming spot" on his 16th birthday.the other is of my mom and her classmates sitting on the merry-go-round at the elementary school in our home town. both are great pictures i guess that's why. cully was outside awhile ago barking like crazy so i went out to see what the problem was thinking it would be a bird or a squirrel making him bark like that but, no when i opened the door he was standing looking up at the icicles barking his head off! lol! goofy dog!

this is our new paint color for the family room and the new curtains. i have to admit i'm a bit sick of the red walls after twelve years so time for a change. i didn't want to put up curtains cause we have blinds in there already but, we still get such a glare on the tv screen so, hopefully these will help a bit. man are they ever wrinkled! so you know what that means,lots or ironing! blech!!!!!!

our little sweet pea will be celebrating her first birthday next week and i got this jacket for her as part of her gift. love the colors of it. she will look so cute in it.

modeling his new coat and the excitement of having company! what a hoot. i put the coat on cully and told him to go show ruthie&j and he ran into the dinning room and went around the table like he actually understood what i said!! i know he would also "love" to model his new coat for his uncle bob and "cousin katie" that live in sioux falls.... ;) our birthday boy and sweet ruthie.....

the expressions of a child?? this is my little sweet pea being a banana face! she does love her fruit and sweet potatoes!! this little bowl of apples makes me smile too....

cully all askew

as he did not feel good,again,yesterday! poor little guy,his stomach was all upset and making weird noises! he's much better today. isn't this the cutest cupcake? stephanie made this for me. i'm on a mission today to find an easel to set it on. i plan on setting it on the kitchen counter.

we are going to paint our family room very soon and when that is done i plan on re-doing the bookcases and i want to use this old clock that we got from my fil years ago. he was tearing down a building in our home town and he found it in the top floor of the building before they began demolition. it's a seth thomas and i love it but, it is soo heavy in the case i think i might just take the face out and store the box. what do you think? any ideas for me?

were here yesterday afternoon. it was fun as always. so glad to have met these girls. it's inspiring to be around so much talent.
of course cully had to get in the mix and was happy to have jessica hold him on her lap for a bit!

got a text from my

sweet pea's mama to tell me, my sweetie is walking!! i knew it would be coming very soon as she was taking steps,several times a day, when she was here with us last weekend. i guess she is growing up. her first birthday is less than a month away. love this BABY girl soo much! :) i would have to sit here with the "webster's" to look up all the words to describe the concert&celine last night!!! she is kind,thoughtful,funny,gorgeous and amazingly talented!!! i still can't grasp it all as to what a phenomenal show she put on last night! alls i can say is WOW and i'm so very glad i got to see her live! so glad.....

will be in concert tonight at the qwest centre!!!!! finally, she had to cancel in november because of throat problems. hopefully,she is better. i guess she must be!! i'm so excited to see her. she is my all time favorite female singer. i always wanted to go to see her when she was in vegas,and didn't get there, but, this works too! wish i looked like this when i was taking photos! lol!
